Quick answer
When someone asks "which press release sites should I use?", they usually mean one thing: where will my announcement actually show up, and will people recognise the name?
This guide answers that directly. It covers the major news and finance sites that publish press releases, which niches each one accepts, which countries they reach, and what a placement realistically gets you. We place releases on these sites every day, including 200+ a month on the USA TODAY network alone, so this is based on what gets approved, not on brochures.
How press releases get onto these sites
You can't email a release to Yahoo Finance or Business Insider and expect it to go up. These sites have no public submission form. Releases reach them through wire distribution: an approved partner submits your release, the wire and the publisher review it, and it is published in a dedicated press release section.
Three things are true on every one of these sites:
It is labelled as a press release. It isn't an article written by the site's journalists, and you shouldn't describe it as one.
Links are nofollow. You can include a few links to your website, and they send real readers, but they don't pass ranking credit. Be wary of anyone promising do-follow links on sites like these.
Every release is reviewed. Promotional copy, guaranteed returns and unverifiable claims get sent back, whatever you pay.

The top press release sites, one by one
1. USA TODAY and the USA TODAY Network
Since June 2025, Gannett, USA TODAY's parent company, has distributed press releases across USA TODAY and its network of 250+ local and regional news sites. One approved release can appear on usatoday.com and dozens of local news domains at once.
It's the strongest name for consumer brands, local businesses expanding nationally, and startups that want a recognisable credibility badge. It's also the strictest channel we work with. USA TODAY's filters reject crypto, gambling, cannabis and drugs, political messaging, adult content, medical claims and investment promotion. Releases stay live for about 150 to 180 days, so it isn't a permanent placement.
Best for: consumer launches, new locations, funding news from non-regulated startups. How to publish on USA TODAY
2. Yahoo Finance
Yahoo Finance is one of the most visited financial sites in the world. Semrush estimated over 120 million monthly visits in August 2026, about half of them from the US. Releases go into its news feed, and public companies that include their ticker get mapped to their stock's page, which is where investors actually look.
Best for: funding rounds, acquisitions, earnings and any milestone an investor would care about. How to get featured on Yahoo Finance
3. Business Insider
Releases appear on Business Insider's markets pages (markets.businessinsider.com), labelled as press releases and tagged to tickers for listed companies. The name carries real weight with executives and founders, which makes it a favourite for B2B and SaaS companies.
Best for: B2B launches, partnerships, executive hires, funding. Business Insider press release
4. AP News
AP is one of the most trusted names in news, and a press release on apnews.com borrows some of that trust. At $129 it's also one of the cheapest ways to get a top-tier news domain into your "as seen on" list. Releases sit in AP's press release section, not alongside AP's own reporting.
Best for: almost any legitimate company news that needs a credible, recognisable link.
5. Morningstar
Morningstar's readers are investors and financial advisers doing research, so they read closely and expect numbers. Releases appear on its news pages and are tagged to your ticker if you're public. Publication has nothing to do with Morningstar's analyst ratings, and your release must not imply otherwise.
Best for: earnings, fund and ETF launches, dividends, buybacks and M&A. Morningstar press release
6. Investing.com
Investing.com serves a global audience that follows stocks, currencies, commodities and crypto prices. Releases go into its press releases section. It's one of the few major finance sites that will consider real company news from crypto businesses, but token sales, yield promises and anything that reads like an investment pitch are rejected.
Best for: fintech, trading and international investor news. Investing.com press release
7. StreetInsider
A market-news service followed by traders and analysts. At $29 it's the cheapest investor-facing placement on this list, and a smart add-on to any financial announcement. StreetInsider press release
8. Reuters
The most expensive single placement here, and worth it only when your news is genuinely significant: a large funding round, a major acquisition, a listing. For routine updates, the sites above give you more for the money.
9. Digital Journal
A long-running general news site with a high authority score and an open attitude to most categories. At $29, it's the budget option we recommend most often for building a first set of credible placements.
10. Benzinga and Google News
Benzinga, a financial news site popular with retail traders, is part of the syndication included in our Business package. Google News isn't a site you publish on, but getting your release onto news domains Google indexes is how your announcement shows up in Google News results.
Best press release sites by niche
The single biggest reason releases get rejected isn't bad writing. It's sending the right news to the wrong site. Here's where each category fits.
Crypto and Web3
USA TODAY rejects crypto outright: tokens, NFTs and digital-asset promotion all trip its filters. So build crypto placements around sites that will take them:
Investing.com considers real company news from crypto businesses, such as launches, partnerships and funding, but not token sales or yield offers.
Morningstar carries crypto company news through wire distribution. We've seen blockchain conference and institutional crypto announcements published there.
Cryptopolitan is crypto-native, so your release reaches readers who already follow the space.
Yahoo Finance, Business Insider and AP News are reviewed case by case. Clear entity details and risk-aware language matter more here than anywhere.
What gets crypto releases rejected: anonymous teams, guaranteed-return framing, price targets, and claims of exchange backing you can't prove. See our crypto editorial guidelines.
iGaming, casino and sports betting
Gambling is the hardest category to place on big-name sites. USA TODAY's filters reject casino, betting and sweepstakes content entirely, and most mainstream finance sites only consider licensed operators.
What improves your odds anywhere:
State the licence number and regulator in the release
Include a responsible-gambling line and age-gating (18+ or 21+)
Announce real business news, such as a market entry or partnership, not a bonus offer
Never claim guaranteed wins
Unlicensed operators and bonus-led copy won't be accepted by any reputable site. Our iGaming distribution routes releases only to outlets that accept the category in your target markets.
Health, wellness and supplements
Health is a "your money or your life" category, so every site reviews it closely. USA TODAY rejects medical and health claims, and the finance sites send back anything that reads like efficacy marketing.
Supplement releases do get published when they're written as business news: a launch, a retail partnership, a manufacturing milestone. Use "may support" rather than "cures" or "treats", attribute any study you cite, and keep before-and-after claims out. Our health guidelines list what passes.
Fintech and public companies
This is where the finance sites shine. A listed company should include its exchange and ticker so the release maps to its stock page on Yahoo Finance, Morningstar and Business Insider. Add StreetInsider for traders and Investing.com for international investors.
Avoid anything that reads as investment advice, and don't name unrelated tickers. "Ticker-stuffing" is a fast way to get rejected.
Tech, SaaS and AI
Business Insider is the strongest fit for B2B and SaaS, since decision-makers recognise it. AP News and Yahoo Finance add credibility for funding and growth news. For AI companies, The AI Journal reaches a specialist readership. Be specific: tech readers ignore vague "AI-powered" claims, so name the model, the benchmark or the customer.
Retail, e-commerce and consumer brands
USA TODAY is the best general-audience name for consumer launches, and its network adds local reach. Retail Dive reaches retail executives directly, which suits brands talking to buyers and partners rather than shoppers. AP News is a good, cheaper complement.
Startups and funding rounds
Funding news fits almost everywhere. A strong default is Yahoo Finance for investors, Business Insider for founders and executives, and AP News or USA TODAY for broad credibility. Publish on the day you announce, since funding news goes stale within 24 hours.
Best press release sites by country
Most big press release sites are American, but their readers aren't only American. Yahoo Finance is a good example: Semrush data from August 2026 puts about 52% of its traffic in the US, with the UK, Canada and India among its next-largest markets. Here's how to think about each region.
United States
Every site on this list works for a US audience. The extra advantage is local reach: the USA TODAY Network syndicates releases to 250+ local and regional news sites, so a company opening in Austin or Baltimore can appear on local news domains, not just a national one. For investor news, Yahoo Finance, Morningstar and StreetInsider cover the US market thoroughly.
United Kingdom
UK readers are a meaningful share of Yahoo Finance and Investing.com traffic, and Business Insider is a well-known brand in Britain too. For a UK announcement, use these finance sites for credibility, then pitch British trade and national titles directly. Write in British English and give the story a UK angle, such as local customers, jobs or regulation.
Canada
Canada is one of Yahoo Finance's largest markets after the US, and Canadian investors use the same finance sites as Americans. Listed Canadian companies should include their TSX or TSX-V ticker so the release maps to the right stock page.
India
India is one of Yahoo Finance's top five traffic markets, and Indian founders increasingly use US finance sites to signal credibility to global investors. For a domestic audience, pair that with Indian news sites. We've placed thousands of articles on Indian outlets such as Outlook India, and for Indian readers a recognised local name often matters more than a US one.
Australia
Our standard syndication already reaches Yahoo Finance Australia (au.finance.yahoo.com). For deeper local reach, add Australian business and trade titles.
Middle East, Asia and Africa
The global names, AP News, Reuters, Yahoo Finance and Investing.com, give you international credibility in these regions, but they won't reach local newsrooms on their own. For real regional coverage, add a local-language version and regional publications. In Africa, for example, regional distributors place releases on outlets like Business Insider Africa.
One rule for every country
A US domain gives you credibility anywhere; a local publication gives you readers. If one country matters most, use both.
Ready-made combinations by goal
One placement rarely does the whole job. These are the combinations we recommend most often, using single-placement prices from our directory.
Goal | Sites | Total |
|---|---|---|
Credibility on a small budget | AP News + StreetInsider | $187 |
Investor and public-company news | Yahoo Finance + Morningstar + StreetInsider | $467 |
B2B or SaaS announcement | Business Insider + AP News + Yahoo Finance | $577 |
AI company launch | The AI Journal + Business Insider + AP News | $428 |
Consumer or local launch | USA TODAY Network + AP News | On request |
Crypto company news | Cryptopolitan + Investing.com + Morningstar | From $989, after review |
If you'd rather not pick sites one by one, our packages bundle them: Starter ($149) covers the USA TODAY network, StreetInsider; Business ($349) adds Yahoo Finance, Benzinga, Google News and a 600+ site network; Premium ($649) covers the full 1,240+ outlet network. Compare them on our pricing page.
What a placement gets you, honestly
A release on these sites gives you a recognisable, linkable page under a name your customers, investors and journalists already trust. You can use it in sales decks, investor updates and an "as seen on" section, as long as you describe it accurately: "our announcement was published on Yahoo Finance", not "Yahoo Finance featured us".
What it won't do on its own: guarantee rankings, guarantee traffic, or replace coverage by a real journalist. The best results come when the release is genuinely newsworthy and you use the live link when pitching reporters.
FAQ
Can I submit a press release directly to Yahoo Finance or Business Insider? No. Neither has a public submission form. Releases reach them through wire distribution, submitted by an approved partner.
What is the cheapest top-tier press release site? StreetInsider and Digital Journal are $29 each, and AP News is $129. Those three together cost under $200.
Are links in these press releases do-follow? No. They're nofollow, which is standard for press releases and in line with Google's guidance. They still send referral traffic and give you a brand mention on a recognised domain.
Which press release sites accept crypto? Investing.com and Morningstar consider real crypto company news, and Cryptopolitan is crypto-native. USA TODAY does not accept crypto content.
Which press release sites accept iGaming and casino releases? Fewer than any other category. USA TODAY rejects gambling content entirely; other sites consider licensed operators case by case. Always include licence details and responsible-gambling messaging.
How fast does a release go live? On USA TODAY, usually 1 to 2 hours after the publisher approves it. On the finance sites, typically 24 to 72 hours after approval.
How long does a press release stay online? It depends on the publisher. USA TODAY releases stay live for about 150 to 180 days. Save your publication report so you keep a record either way.
Is a press release on USA TODAY the same as being featured by USA TODAY? No. It's published and labelled as a press release, not written by USA TODAY's journalists. Editorial coverage can't be bought; it has to be earned by pitching.
