Quick answer

You cannot buy an article about your company in Business Insider or AP News. What you can publish is a press release, labelled as one, on Business Insider's markets pages (markets.businessinsider.com) and on AP News, through a wire partner. TS Newswire submits it for you after a compliance review, typically 24 to 72 hours after approval, and refunds the order if it is not published. That placement is worth having as a dated, recognisable record of your news. It is not editorial coverage, its links are nofollow, and it does not guarantee rankings, traffic or AI citations. This guide shows how to get a release accepted, using a real October 2026 release as the example. Ready to publish? Submit your release through the TS Newswire dashboard. Business Insider placement is $199 per release, AP News is priced per release, and both typically go live 24 to 72 hours after approval. A release that is rejected, or approved but not distributed, is refunded.

Business Insider: what "published" means

There are two different things people call "getting on Business Insider."

  1. Editorial coverage. A Business Insider reporter writes about you. You cannot buy this. It comes from a pitch with a real story, and it is slow and uncertain.

  2. A distributed press release. Your release appears on Business Insider's markets pages at markets.businessinsider.com, labelled as a press release, and is not published as a newsroom article. This is the route TS Newswire sells.

When you describe the second one, say "published on" or "distributed through" Business Insider's markets pages, never "covered by" or "featured in a Business Insider story." Editors and readers notice the difference, and so do the platforms.

What TS Newswire's Business Insider placement includes:

  • $199 one-time per release, with no subscription. AI-assisted writing is an optional $129 add-on.

  • Typically 24 to 72 hours after approval. The wire partner and Business Insider's syndication schedule set the exact timing.

  • A publication report with the live URL, and a full refund if the release is rejected or is approved but not distributed.

  • Links are published as nofollow. We do not offer dofollow, and you should be wary of anyone who promises it.

  • Publication is not guaranteed, display duration is set by the publisher, and TS Newswire is not affiliated with Business Insider.

AP News: what "published" means

The same split applies. AP journalists write AP news. A press release on AP News is a separate, labelled item: it shows your headline, your full text and your company as the source, and it is not written by AP's newsroom. Distributors have sold this route since at least 2022, and AP News pages are set to noindex, so search engines do not list them. Check this yourself with your own live page before you promise it to a client.

What TS Newswire's AP News placement includes:

  • Priced per release with no subscription; contact us for the current AP News price.

  • Typically 24 to 72 hours after approval, with the wire partner's guidelines applying on top of ours.

  • Nofollow links, a publication report with the live URL, and a full refund if the release cannot be accepted.

  • No guarantee of publication, duration, rankings or traffic. TS Newswire is not affiliated with AP News.

A release for AP News is held to a stricter standard than most. It is rejected if it reads as an advertorial, contains a call to action, makes claims nobody can verify, or has no real news hook.

Case study: Vesti and Zyra

On 19 October 2026 Vesti, a Dallas company founded in 2021, announced Zyra, a legal identity platform for AI agents. The release was distributed through FinanceWire and carries a paid-release label.

The company. Vesti began with immigration services. Co-founder and CEO Olusola Amusan is a former senior program manager at Microsoft, and co-founder and COO Abimbola Amusan is an attorney with a law master's from Pace University. In 2025 the company unveiled an earlier Zyra as an AI paralegal for immigration work, reporting more than 1 million app downloads and advice given to over 400,000 immigration seekers. The 2026 release extends that work: Zyra now issues a legal identity to an AI agent, recording who it acts for, what it may do and which accounts it can use.

Why this release suits a wire and a markets page. It has the three things reviewers look for:

  • A news hook with a date. It ties the launch to the AI Agent Accountability Act, introduced by Senators Hawley and Murphy on 1 October.

  • Numbers a reader can check. It cites an IDC projection of 1 billion AI agents by 2029 and 4,078 generative-AI exclusions filed by insurers across 49 states and D.C., with the source of each named.

  • A concrete product, not a slogan. It lists the beta's actual features: a public agent registry, onboarding, an ownership-request flow and dispute intake. It also names earlier backers.

It does not tell the reader to buy anything, and it does not claim results it cannot show.

We traced the release's two outside claims before featuring it. The bill is reported by Axios, and the insurer exclusion data traces to a Trades Coverage analysis reported by PHCP Pros. Do the same for every figure in your own release, and check exact numbers against the source.

Step by step: from draft to live page

  1. Find the news. A launch, a funding round, a partnership, a regulatory change that affects you, a milestone with a number. "We are great" is not news. A release without a real hook is rejected.

  2. Put one checkable number in the opening paragraph. Name its source. Vesti's release does this with the IDC projection and the insurer filings.

  3. Write to the format. 400 to 800 words, a headline of about 70 characters or fewer, a dateline (CITY, State, Month Day, Year), a boilerplate, and a media contact with name, title, email and phone. Public companies add the exchange and ticker.

  4. Keep links honest. Two to four relevant links in the body. They will be nofollow, so link to help readers, not to chase rankings.

  5. Strip the sales language. No calls to action, no "buy now," no promised returns, no superlatives you cannot prove. Use only images you own or are licensed to use.

  6. Submit once through the dashboard. There is no public upload form. TS Newswire checks the release against its standards and the wire partner's guidelines, and you can edit freely until it is approved. After publication it cannot be changed.

  7. Check the live page. Your publication report gives the URL. Confirm the headline, links and spelling, and keep the report.

  8. Reuse it correctly. Link to the live page from your newsroom or news page and share it with journalists. Say "published on" the outlet's markets or press-release page, never "covered by."

Facts beat superlatives. "Company X is the world's leading cleaning platform" is a claim a reviewer cannot check. "Company X says its platform serves more than 20,000 registered customers across five markets" is one they can, if you supply the source. Use the second kind of sentence.

If you want a newsroom to write about you instead, pitch a reporter separately with a story, not a release. Our guide to pitching versus distributing shows how the two routes differ, and our press release writing guide has a template.

What it will and will not do for you

It can

It will not

Put your news on a recognised site, dated and labelled as a press release

Make Business Insider or AP News write about you

Give buyers, partners and journalists a third-party record to point to

Pass search ranking value: links are nofollow, and AP News pages are noindex

Support a pitch to reporters and a news page on your own site

Guarantee traffic, rankings or how long the page stays up

Show up if someone searches your company name

Get you recommended in AI answers to "who is the best" questions

The last row comes from our own testing. In 108 AI answers about local home services, none cited apnews.com or any press release on a "best X in Y" question. Outside studies found the same pattern on category questions, with releases appearing more on brand-name queries. Read the detail in Press Releases and AI Search in 2026.

So treat a Business Insider or AP News release as proof and a news record, then pair it with work that does move search and AI visibility: indexed, followed guest posts and tailored link building to the page you want found. Our guest post marketplace is at app.tsvivemedia.com.

Who gets the most from it. Startups and software companies announcing a launch, funding round or partnership. Agencies buying placements for clients. Professional-services firms announcing a senior hire or an expansion. If your only news is that you provide great services, wait until you have a real announcement.

A stronger campaign, in order. Publish the announcement. Put it on a newsroom page with supporting facts. Pitch the journalists most likely to care, with the strongest angle. Publish expert content on the wider topic. Build relevant third-party references over time. A release alone is the first step, not the plan.

Ready to publish? Submit your release through the TS Newswire dashboard, or contact us for AP News pricing. We review each release against the publisher's standards before it is submitted and will tell you what must change. No subscription is needed.

FAQ

Can I pay to be featured in a Business Insider article? No. Business Insider's journalists write its articles. A paid release appears as a labelled press release on its markets pages, not as an article.

How much does it cost to publish a press release on Business Insider? TS Newswire's Business Insider placement is $199 per release at the time of writing, with an optional $129 AI-assisted writing add-on. Check the Business Insider page for the current price. AP News pricing is quoted per release.

How long does it take? Typically 24 to 72 hours after approval. The wire partner and the outlet's schedule set the exact time.

Will the links help my SEO? Not directly. Links are nofollow, and AP News pages are noindex. The value is the dated record and the credibility of the name, not link equity.

Will it get me cited by ChatGPT or Perplexity? We cannot promise it. In our local-services test no assistant cited a press release on a "best X in Y" question. See Press Releases and AI Search in 2026.

What gets a release rejected? No real news hook, promotional language, calls to action, unverifiable claims, ticker-stuffing and images you do not have rights to use.

What if it is not published? If the release is rejected, or approved but not distributed, you receive a full refund.

Can I say I was "featured on" Business Insider or AP News? Say "published on" or "distributed through" instead. "Featured" suggests editorial coverage, and that is not what you bought.
